📍 Bighorn Trail Run — Dayton, WY
Distances: 100mi, 52mi, 32mi, 18mi • Elevation: ~20,500 ft (76mi route)
This iconic mountain ultra delivered its classic combo of steep climbs, deep mud, and big wildflower views. In the 32mi event, Chad Nauman (4:29:02) and Emily Suemitsu (5:55:14) led the way. Many runners battled cutoffs and heat in one of the season’s toughest point-to-point challenges.

Lightning and snow led to a partial cancellation of the 46k event — but not before 163 runners crossed the finish line. Eli Hemming won with a blazing 3:50:48 course record. Jennifer Lichter led the women in 4:42:32 in an epic showdown, finishing just seconds ahead of Helen Mino Faukner and Daniella Moreno.

This lesser-known gem explores the sacred terrain of the Bears Ears National Monument. Brydon Anderson (9:22:32) took the 50mi win, while Sergio Abarca clocked a 6:04:53 in the 50k. Elevation gains reached 6,600+ ft, with jaw-dropping canyon views at every turn.
