As summer trails heat up, ultrarunners across Europe tested their limits from the alpine peaks of Andorra to the coastal winds of northern Germany. Here are a few standout efforts from the June 14–15 weekend:
🏔️ Trail 100 Andorra by UTMB – Ordino, Andorra
Distance: 50km • Elevation Gain: ~3,000m
This iconic mountain race featured dramatic climbs above 2,500m and a rugged singletrack course winding through the Pyrenees. Runners braved high altitude, rock scrambles, and cool alpine air. In the 50km event, France’s Rémi Berchet crossed first in just over 6 hours, with Eli Anne Dvergsdal winning the women’s field.

Distance: 115km & 100km • Course: Coastal roads and pine trails
The FDZU offers long coastal mileage through northeastern Germany’s Baltic Sea peninsula. Runners tackled long straights and humid conditions. The 115km option proved especially tough, with Marcus Kunze completing the course in 10:34:12. Dozens celebrated their first 100km finish.

Distance: 45km & 80km • Surface: Forest trails, urban paths
Blending urban charm with Nordic wilderness, EcoTrail Stockholm continues to grow in prestige. The 80km event took runners past iconic landmarks, forests, and coastlines. In a dramatic finish, Johannes Persson won the 80km men’s division in 6:28, while Sara Hansson topped the women’s field in 7:11.
